Join us for a day of sewing and embroidery fun with Pfaff Elite Educator Darrelle Anderson. Experience the perfection of Pfaff, and express yourself like never before using Pfaff’s exclusive techniques. Baby Lock National Ambassador of Education Pam Mahshie is a serger goddess. Join her in this class to learn and create on the Baby Lock Triumph serger. No previous serger experience required. Pam and Kiki’s staff guide your every step to ensure confident serging. Make a lined tote bag with pin tucks, joining lace, decorative flat lock stitches, and quilt piecing on the serger. Pam traveled the country with Baby Lock’s 50th Anniversary of the Serger Trunk Show and will bring an amazing trunk show to this class. It’s fair to say her samples will knock you for a loop.

Pam began her career with Baby Lock about 30 years ago, and currently serves as National Ambassador of Education. She has worn many hats at Baby Lock including Education Consultant, Regional Sales Manager and Education Manager. Pam has recorded for PBS television with sewing celebrities Nancy Zieman, Martha Pullen, Marianne Fons and May Fons. Embroidery mysteries solved! Join your tour guide Chris Tryon, who does everything a stitch above the ordinary. You will complete two projects for two unforgettable adventures in embroidery. Chris shares several incredible samples of stitching on a variety of fabrics and projects. Come discover exciting ways to combine embroidery with quilting, as well as innovative ideas for embroidering garments and home décor. First, create an upscale and elegant project bag with a channel or cross hatch fill on velveteen. For project number two, you will embroider on a canvas bag with a dress appliqué of dimensional tulle. Students will stitch on a Baby Lock Valiant Multineedle embroidery machine with two students per Machine.

Chris’s creativity is evident in her designs, and her passion for sewing is on display through an eye-catching collection of designer fabrics, books, and the many notions and gadgets in her studio. Chris delights in teaching, and students enjoy spending the day with her expert guidance. Bring your own pair of jeans to class ready for embroidery. For best results, select jeans that contain less than 5% spandex. Contact Kiki’s for guidance on selecting the perfect pair for this project. Kiki’s will also show you how to prepare your jeans for class. If you’ve wanted to try this technique but didn’t know where to start, come learn from a master of embroidery.

Thread Painted Fabric Bowl

Think you’re not an artist? Unsure of your free motion skills? How about a class that improves those skills and brings out your inner artist? Debbie Martinez, Baby Lock Ambassador of Education, is a master of free motion. Come learn her secrets to creating stitched works of art with thread as paint. You will start with a gorgeous floral print from Kaffe Fassett, and make the flowers come alive by fussy cutting them from fabric and “painting” them with thread. Learn the technique of edge finishing with a satin stitch. Bring your camera to record Debbie’s trunk show. Previous thread painting and free motion experience is not required.

Karen has been with Viking for over twenty years and her trunk show will knock your socks off.

Karen is an Event Specialist with SVP Worldwide. She brings 25 years’ experience in the art of quilting, embroidery, sewing, heirloom and crafting. Known for her enthusiasm in sharing her knowledge with others, Karen employs teaching methods that make even the most complicated tasks achievable for all students. She specializes in continuous machine embroidery techniques, PREMIER+2 embroidery software, thread painting, free motion, heirloom sewing and creative serging. Conditions and Restrictions

Machines are provided and will be set up for your use during class. All supplies are included in this and all Expo19 Event Classes. Lunch is provided.

Cost for Expo19 Event Classes is $55 per day. Classes are on a first come, first filled basis. Sign up early for best selection of specific dates. Payment is required at sign up.

Register on the website or at the store. Transfer to another class section after event is ticketed is not available.  Unattended classes are not subject to refund without exception.

Take care of your ticket, as it can’t be replaced if lost, stolen or destroyed. This ticket is valid only for the event and date printed on the ticket. Please bring your ticket to class.  Classes begin at 10:00 AM and doors open for seat selection at 9:30 AM.

This ticket is a revocable license to attend the event listed and is subject to the full terms below. Such license may be revoked without refund for noncompliance with terms.
