A modern take on applique by Amanda Murphy Design!
Traditional Hawaiian quilts are done with needle-turn applique. This modern version of the quilt is created totally by sewing and/or embroidery machine.
Educator Linda Holmes will show you how It can be created in a number of ways; a quilt with full size appliques with satin border with or without bean stitch overlay, a quilt with full size appliques with a blanket stitch border, a wall hanging with reduced size appliques with satin border with or without bean stitch overlay, or wall hanging with blanket stitch border. So many choices!
You can also use an electronic cutter if you please or trace and cut the applique pieces by hand using the included templates. You can create this project, finishing the edges by machine or use your embroidery machine using the included embroidery files.
The finished size of this quilt is 50” x 77”
