A message from Kiki in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic

At Kiki’s Quilt Shack, the health and safety of our community is our top priority as we navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic. After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our upcoming Destination Education dates for the months of April, May, and June. We are hoping to reschedule all these classes for a later date at the end of the year, or early next year when it is safe to do so.

Kiki’s would like to assure all those who were traveling together as a group that we plan to do everything we can to accommodate your group to a newly scheduled date.

We sincerely apologize to all those affected by this unfortunate event. We are so thankful for your cooperation and support during these unprecedented times. We hope everyone in our Kiki’s community is staying safe and healthy in the meantime.

We can’t wait to see you soon again!

Don’t own Palette? Call Kiki’s and make arrangements to really try before you buy this powerful software.

The Destination Education content has been customized and created especially for Kiki’s by Mike Johns. Mike has years of experience with software and embroidery and will share his vast knowledge in a clear manner. You will know your software when you complete this retreat.

Mike Johns

Meet Mike Johns, Baby Lock and Durkee Embroidery Hoops Educator, and owner of Mama’s Boy Design. When it comes to teaching his vast knowledge of all things embroidery, Mike has a very simple approach to being a successful educator.

“It’s really about the people,” he said. “I have been so lucky to meet so many amazing people over the years and it is so heartwarming to hear how sewing has impacted their lives.”

Growing up in a family of crafters, Mike said he didn’t become serious about sewing until he studied Costume Design and Technology at Florida State University a little over 20 years ago. He said he enjoys the unique creative process sewing provides.
